This very individually furnished apartment at hoher markt is located near St. Stephen’s Cathedral. With the elevator, guests can access this spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, living room and bathroom, as well as a separate kitchen on the 4th floor of the building. The kitchen is equipped with Nespresso machine, a kettle, toaster, oven and stove. Of course, kitchen utensils for everyday use are not missing either.

As in all our apartments, high-speed Internet access with WiFi is free of charge.

A vacuum cleaner is also available in the apartment at hoher markt and can be used for daily cleaning. A cleaning service can be provided on request. Bed linen and towels are provided as well as fair trade shampoo and soap. The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub that invites you to take a relaxing bath after a hard day. For daily needs there are not only grocery stores such as Billa in the immediate vicinity, but also the Merkur am Hohen Markt, which is inviting for special delights. At events such as wine tastings, guests can try the finest wines with maybe one or two special oysters.

This apartment is particularly impressive due to its location right in the center of Vienna with St. Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hoher Markt and other historical sights. The world-famous Ankeruhr (Anchor clock) is located next to Merkur on the Hoher Markt. This great work of Art was designed by Franz Matsch on behalf of the insurance camplany called “Anker Insurrance” in 1911. It was completely restored by the Federal Monument Office in 2005 and is one of the city’s most popular sights. Visitors can experience a special spectacle every hour, because then the figures move one position further. From Charlemagne to Joseph Haydn, all figures come from different eras – each with their own piece of music that sounds at every hour.

Not too far from the apartment is the Figlmüller restaurant with its world-famous Wiener Schnitzel. Since 1905 you can enjoy huge Wiener Schnitzel here, which are very popular abnd after a hard day of sightseeing from Hofburg to St. Stephen’s Cathedral just the right place to go in order to have a good dinner (make sure you reserve).

Vienna’s St. Stephen’s Cathedral is a five-minute walk from the apartment. St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which at a height of 136 meters shapes the center of Vienna like no other building, has been a cathedral church since 1365. There is a lot to see inside the cathedral. In the north tower you can take an elevator to the famous Pummerin, the third largest bell in western and central Europe. This famous bell always rings in Austria at the turn of the year and otherwise only on special occasions. Those who like it sporty can walk the 343 steps of the south tower. As a reward, there is a breathtaking view over Vienna.

Within eight minutes of walking from St. Stephen’s Cathedral via the pedestrian zone, the Hofburg with its numerous museums, such as the Sisi Apartments and the Spanish Riding School is another spot which should not be missed. On the way to the Hofburg there is the famous Cafe Demel, which is particularly worth seeing with its show kitchen. Enjoy life with a piece of Sachertorte and a Viennese coffee.
